Bumped: CSI: NY

Two hours of Gordon Ramsay means the NY cops are pushed back a week.

CSI: New York‘s return has been pushed back a week by the Nine Network, given it now has a two hour season premiere of Kitchen Nightmares USA next Monday.

As a result CSI: NY will return 9:30pm Monday September 15th with “Personal Foul”, the 19th ep of the fourth series.

Nine’s scheduling of the Ramsay series follows some movement by the FOX Network, which had originally scheduled it for September 4 (US), but then pushed it out to Sept 11. Instead it moved in a 2 hour special in which Ramsay returns to some of the restaurants he has already made over.

That said, FOX made those changes a few days ago, only now is Nine confirming it will lead with the 2 hour season opener.

  1. Has anyone ANY idea if and when CSI:NY is ever going to return? It’s constantly advertised in the TV Week and then vanishes come show time. I’m finding it really frustrating, especially as I can’t even seem to find anything later than Series 2 in boxsets at any store, to make up for it.
Please, can someone just put me out of my misery and tell me what on earth is going on – that and where I can find S3 and S4 boxsets for Australia?

    Thank you,

    C

  2. CSI:NY once again dumped without being shown. What about the people who actually like the show? Is it coming back or will it suffer the same fate as McLeods Daughters and be shelved?

  3. Man!!! I have been waiting for almost two months for this episode of CSI: NY to air and I was really looking forward to watching it tonight! But they cancelled it for Ramsay?! Oh well, it happens. I can wait till next week! Gives me something to look forward to. Again. Hey SwaySlayer, GARY SINISE IS AWESOME!!! So is David Caruso and Melina Kanakaredes!!!

  4. Also David, I was wondering if you knew what number episode of David Attenborough’s Life of Mammals Series will be on this Monday, and how many part series it is? – I think it is a 10 part series (correct me if I’m wrong), so I was just wondering if you knew how many more Life of Mammals specials there were to come.

    Many Thanks,

  5. Craig, I agree with you to an extent, Nine probably will be holding their breath come Tuesday. However, unlike Criminal Minds and Two and a Half Men which have been in overkill and have consequently lost viewers, Ramsay hasn’t, for whilst Australia probably did get an overload of Ramsay at the begining of the year, we’ve had a massive break from him, thus the reason for my withdrawals.

  6. Nine will be holding their breath come Tuesday morning to see the ratinsg for Ramsay I reckon to see if they killed the goose that laid some golden eggs by playing so much of him earlier in the year…

  7. Wow… Two hours of Gordon Ramsay what have we done to deserve that?! – I can’t wait till Monday especially as I’ve been having withdrawals since the season finals of both Kitchen Nightmares and Hell’s Kitchen! Also, can’t wait for more CSI: NY, but I too like you Knoxoverstreet can wait another week for it’s return.

  8. No great loss given that this is by far the weakest of the CSI franchise. I’d even choose David “Cheesball” Caruso over Gary “Squinty” Sinise.

Oh Melina Kanakaredes. It’s been a hard road since you left Providence….
