Game show apologises to contestants

One production company has had to apologise to potential contestants for a registration e-bungle.

“At some point during the past 12 months you registered your interest in becoming a contestant on [game show]” says an email from one production company to hopeful contestants.

“Due to technical difficulties, your email has only just been received by us. We apologise for this problem. Registrations have closed for 2008 and we anticipate they will re-open again in February 2009.”

If you’ve received an email like this TV Tonight would like to hear from you, and in particular hear how long you’ve been waiting for your TV chance….

  1. I applied back in Feb/March, then again in October… In the actual email they state, “we believe Walter the banker had something to do with it.” Wow, consolation I guess? lol

  2. I got this email, saying the exact same words for “Deal or No Deal”, which i applied at the start of the year.
Quite annoyed about it, then they said that if i left my email details, that they will give me an email alert when the applications are open.

It’s appears to be such a lousy reason. why didnt they tell this technical stuff earlier and why they continued putting forms for application if they knew there was a problem?
