80’s pop singer Kim Wilde will perform in the AFL Footy Show’s Grand Final spectacular later this month.
The singer with such hits as “Kids in America,” “You Keep Me Hangin’ On,” and “If I Can’t Have You” will appear in the annual show at Rod Laver Arena on Thursday September 25.
Also appearing in the finale are The Living End and Vanessa Amorosi.
But it’s the Player Revue that always has fans excited, an over-the-top homage to indecency, bad taste, raw sex and football drag. How will they get Shane Crawford to stutt his stuff this year?
And to think Rocky Horror is in town with Derryn Hinch and all…
Updated: It airs 8:30pm Thursday September 25 on Nine (select states).

I love Kim, her songs were a big hit in the UK radio stations
She was Fantastic, i enjoyed You Keep Me hangin on … lets hope she will Tour more in Australia & even put out new record soon.
Kim was great and no one hit wonder like Toni Basil, that comparison is a joke. Cyndi Lauper did Idol because Toni Basil wasnt available 🙂
She looked hot! Does anyone know if she is performing elsewhere in Aus/Sydney?
I Love Kim Wilde, i remember If i can’t have you was a big hit in here. What a beauty with unique voice.
cant wait
LOVE Kim, thou even I am a bit amazed as to how she was chosen, she hasn’t had a hit in years, god bless her!
Make sense to maybe have her on 80s week Idol, she was huge in the 80s, had so much success & will certainly offer the kids some sound advice!
Kim Wilde…WOW!
Wasn’t Toni Basil available???
What a joke.
Please God, let this the last grand final footy show ever. Cancel this load of crap.
So I’m guessing she could well be the first big international guest judge/performer on Australian Idol this year…? James Mathison and Ricki-Lee were on Nova yesterday evening talking about how there would be famous international guest judges/performers this year and that the first one would be on 21/22 Sep for 80’s themed week. Although they did make it sound as if they were coming out just for Idol…
