TEN talks to The Doctors

TEN has picked up a new talk show produced by Dr. Phil which sees doctors giving medical advice to a studio audience. Mercifully, he ain't in it.

Network TEN has picked up the rights to The Doctors, a medical talk show produced by Dr. Phil and his son, Jay McGraw.

The show features a team of medical professionals discussing a range of various health-related topics and taking questions from viewers who are too embarrassed to ask their own doctors (sure… just ask it on national television!).

Dr. Phil himself isn’t set to appear in the show. So far, the show has been licensed to 11 broadcasters worldwide. It marks the first time a spin-off talk show has emerged from a show that was itself a talk show spin-off.

“‘The Doctors has great appeal for the international marketplace given the proven production team from Dr. Phil behind the scenes,” CBS Paramount president Armando Nunez said.

It begins in the US on Monday, but no airdate has yet been announced in Australia.
