Today Tonight apologises to dating company

“Our story did not concern any complaint against Aussie Matchmaker,” Anna Coren told the audience of Today Tonight on Thursday.

“Their logo was shown only as an example of a dating service, which, like the rest of the industry, does not require a license to operate.”

TT‘s apology for using the Aussie Matchmaker logo in a previous story, was tucked in between the weather and what’s coming up on Friday’s show.

It should be acknowledged here that Coren isn’t at fault here. Like any news and current affairs host, she’s expected to introduce the stories that are packaged together by producers and reporters.

Sometimes that involves reading out apologies too. Just ask Naomi….
