Zaetta witness in murder trial

TV personality and Bollywood actress Tania Zaetta appeared as a witness in a murder trial today at the NSW Supreme court.

Zaetta gave evidence that she was good friends with her late friend model Caroline Byrne, who was in a de facto relationship with Gordon Wood at the time of her death.

Wood has pleaded not guilty to murdering Ms Byrne, whose body was found at the base of The Gap in Sydney’s east in June 1995. Zaetta and Ms Byrne met through their work as models in the early-mid 1990s.

Zaetta described her best friend as “perfect” and went on to say she closely resembled Charlotte from Sex and The City – because she was refined, polite and reliable.

Zaetta is best known for her appearances on Who Dares Wins, Dancing with the Stars and was the subject of a controversy during an army entertainers’ tour of Afghanistan, filmed by Australian Story -the Defence Department issued her an apology.

The trial continues.
