Former US sports star and sometime actor, O. J. Simpson has been found guilty of robbery and kidnapping, 13 years to the day after he was acquitted of brutally murdering his ex-wife and her friend.
The 61-year-old was accused of storming into a hotel room with a gang of gun-toting cohorts and seizing sports memorabilia worth thousands of dollars from two dealers in September of last year.
Simpson said he had only been recovering personal items stolen from his trophy room, and claimed to be unaware that his accomplices were armed.
The former NFL player has appeared in a number of film and TV titles including Dragnet, Ironside, Medical Center, Roots, In the Heat of the Night and Here’s Lucy.
The guilty verdict follows a famous acquittal of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994, which led to a widely-reported trial and a now infamous car chase by police.
He will be sentenced in December, with an expected minimum term of 30 years.

Karma is a bitch.
I just hope he stays in there. Sometimes when I hear “life in prison”, I expect life in prison but then you hear about people getting out after only a couple of years!
13 years to the day.
Conspiracy theory 8735 in existence.
Now for good old USA justice system and plea deal for celebrity to kick in.
Letting him off the first time was an absolute atrocity. This is karma.
I hope he rots in prison.
He’ll write another book and appear on daytime TV…
