Just to make you really feel the end of the ratings year, here’s an airdate for New Year’s Eve!
On ABC2 The Chaser’s Chris Taylor (pictured, right) will look back at the stories that made up 2008.
Obama, the Olympics, ice cream in a Sydney pub. Hopefully even the departure of Anna Coren?
It airs 8:30pm Wednesday December 31. TV Tonight will run a NYE guide closer to the date.
Please resume normal transmission.
Press Release:
The Chaser’s Chris Taylor takes a whimsical look at the people and pictures that made 2008 a year we’ll always remember… or would rather forget.
It’s been a momentous year: America elected its first black president, China presented the Olympics and its modern face to the world and the greatest crisis in almost a century devoured the international financial system. Meanwhile in Australia, the flavour of ice cream in one pub and the colour of a politician’s language in another dominated the news.
Brendan Nelson, John McCain and the Australian men’s swimming team all vied for the title of most regrettable year… and a movie’s title humbly suggested it was as big as the nation.
Happy News Year is a humorous review of 2008.
