Liddle boxes made of ticky tacky

Mary Louise Parker is about to get a rerun of her oh-so-wicked cable drama on 9HD.

‘Liddle boxes, liddle boxes’ are about to have a second run with Nine due to re-screen the Showtime series Weeds on 9HD.

The very wicked, and frequently controversial, series starring Mary-Louise Parker begins from 11:30pm Tuesday November 18th.

Parker plays a widow who turns to peddling marijuana to upkeep her family life in the suburb of Agrestic, California.

It starts at episode one, which presumably is a good sign for the third series to surface sometime in the new year. Fingers crossed.

If you’ve never seen it, here’s a good chance to pick it up from the start.

Unlike the neighbours of The Biggest Loser, these residents have no idea about any “low intensity, low impact business use.”

  1. Any idea what happened? I set my PVR to record Weeds on Nine HD on Tuesday night (as per the EPG listing), but they showed Ellen instead, Very disappointed as I was looking forward to watching it from the beginning again. I’m in Brisbane if that makes a difference

  2. Whatever, I have the DVD’s.

Just play S3 please so the S3 DVD can come out in Australia.

For the record I’ve watched all of S3 and S4 online anyway.

See what happens when you don’t play the show concurrently people find other avenues so when you do broadcast it the central fan base will have already watched it and won’t need to stay up until 11:30 on a wednesday night to watch it.

  3. Craig: season 4 has already aired in the US. It finished its 13-episode run in mid-September.

While it’s great that Nine will give a new batch of viewers a chance to see Weeds from the start, I suspect that when they’re inevitably left high and dry half way through season 2 or somesuch, they’re just going to have to download it anyway.

So as a community service, allow me to mention that fact that in the US, it airs without ad breaks 🙂
