Terrorist attacks in Mumbai have cast doubt on the Champions League Twenty 20 Cricket, due to air on Channel TEN next week.
TEN has a Middlesex Crusaders v Victoria Bushrangers match set to air live next Wednesday night at 9:30pm on TEN HD (delayed 12:30am on TEN), but that is now in doubt.
“Given the circumstances, Cricket Australia has put an immediate halt on any cricket-related travel to India,” said Cricket Australia siad in a statement.
“We are in on-going contact with DFAT, our own security expert in India, the Australian Cricketers’ Association and our own playing groups and stakeholders.”
“We are basically on temporary hold while we assess the situation, while we get expert advice and while we consult all of the parties who are involved.
“I wouldn’t expect we would be doing anything for at least the next 12 hours.”
