And while we’re talking finales…

Seven brings the finale of The Amazing Race forward to avoid a Xmas clash.

And while we’re on the subject. Kudos to Seven for slating The Amazing Race in a two hour finale on Thursday December 18.

Adding the extra episode gets around the issue of a final which would have fallen on Christmas night.

The fastracked season concludes in America on Sunday (Monday Aus) so beware of internet spoilers.

Next week’s ep on Seven includes a very funny attempt at marching in the Russian army.

The two hour TAR final means no Heroes on December 18.

  1. This seasons race has been better than some of the previous. The next episode in Russia is one of the best. Some of the funniest moments I’ve seen on the race so far, plus also very exciting too.

  2. I’ve never been a huge fan of The Amazing Race, but I am really liking / loving to hate the teams on this season. Good to hear we are getting a double final, though I would prefer it start at 8.30 with Eli Stone getting the shaft, and Heroes still able to continue at 10.30.

  3. Good move Seven.

I have really been enjoying this season. Nick and Starr are on fire winning the last five legs! Then there are frat boys Andrew and Dan who have finshed seond last so many times I have lost count.

My prediction, the frat boys will go next and the final three will be Nick and Starr, Toni and Dallas and Ken and Tina (pictured).

  4. Aus open starts Jan 19 and even then we still get some primetime shows during the early stages. that means
    dec 18: 2x TAR
dec 25 (xmas): dancesport + final heroes
    jan1: ? + ?
    jan 15: ? + ?
jan 22, 29: most possibly tennis
    feb 5: ratings season shows

pleese put 30rock/scrubs in one of the ?’s. 7 is known to bring late night’s back to life, this year they tried family guy, boston and unit in an earlier timeslot, all with moderate sucess. so surely there is a chance of this happening even for 2 weeks just so that they have tried.

  5. There will be only one episode to screen of Heroes on December 25th as that’s the last episode to air in the Us, before the show goes on a break until February 2nd with it’s 4th volume: fugitives.

  6. any guesses what will take the timeslot after Xmas? i guess its too late for a new summer show to start, i’m still begging for a 30rock/scrubs rerun hour but my guess is american gladiators.

or maybe 7 will put the show that will take the spot in 2009 in, giving it a head start. so maybe private practice, knight rider ect.

  7. don’t watch the amazing race, do watch heroes so this is a little lame but i don’t care that much, i can wait one week… or will it be two weeks? is heroes going to be on on christmas?
