  1. The program was painful as watching wet paint dry, but I thought Jono really got something out of the trip to Africa and I wish him and his mum all the best. However, Baylie was just as shallow and nasty as always and learnt nothing much from the experience and said nothing of any value to change her manipulative ways. I watched this one out of interest because I have known Baylie for many years. I won’t be watching the show again.
By the way they are not Baylie’s parents, they are her grandmother and step grandfather. So how did she weasle her way on the show??

  2. This is ageneral comment not aimed at anyone
Parents try and do the best for their kids.-Teenagers dont see that at the time and grow up resentful anf full of hate treating parents and others with arogance and contempt. Then the parents or the person who was treated badly gets seriously ill or dies then there is no return and you will live your life regretting your lewd conduct towards them as they are no loner around to apologise
So seek help communicate and think of your future as destiny is in your hands
    Perhaps an idea for out of control antisocial behaviour ;
There are so many organisations offering help so use it rather than ruining your life and breaking the heats of others

  3. Perhaps some of the people making comments here should go back to school and learn to write correctly and how to construct a sentence that has no spelling mistakes.

  4. it souds like a good way to get the hell away from my f**ked up parents maybe wen i get back they will finally have got a deviorce

  5. hi does anyone know about Baylie coz we were bestfriends in primary school but lost contact when i moved schools if anyone know any info please please e-mail me. i would like to see how her Mum Molly and brother Johnny are going?

    thanks kristie vickers

  6. duz enyon no dat kyle lads myspace or hotmail addy??lol i wana add him.

  7. Sounds like a great idea. I have a teenage brother who is out of control, violent and rude to anyone he crosses paths with. He has physically and verbally abused my mother on frequent occasions and will only do so when my father is not around as he knows my mother wont do anything.
I think kids of today feel untouchable and it needs to stop. What happens when they have to enter the real world and they have no life skills because they have thrown away all the resources and social capital?
Violence in any form should not have to be accepted by anyone. Unless these kids are suddenly going to wake up to themselves I think something like this is needed to give them a harsh shove into reality!!!

  8. Well, i guess this way to get to the USA is out. Why only 16 and 17 Y.O’s? I had a game plan.
    1. enter
    2. get accepted (hopefully)
    3. try to get to USA
    4. catch a bus to Ohio
    5. Meet up with my cousins

Simple as! Why ,oh, why can I be 2 years older?

  9. 2 australians ave been in my class in cork ireland da past week recordin 4 da show!!! der is one girl and one boy!!!

  10. yeah im pretty much agree with everyone aha. the age limit is to restrictive, it is too exploitive, would be boring, belongs on channel nine and its just channel seven trying to get better ratings and it just wont happen, they might aswell put in another comedy like my name is earl or whatever etc.

  11. Sounds like a cross between Supernanny and Wife Swap. Both rubbish. This seems very exploitive too.

  12. This sounds like a law case waiting to happen.
Not a fan of bratty kids so won’t be watching (although I did watch that show about kids who went on a fat camp which was on the ABC that was pretty good).

  13. I have to say this show doesn’t sound too good. It would fit in better with the back to back cheapo reality crap on 9.

  14. very interesting topic i will definately watch.
@ella, i am also a lover of social experiments.

i don’t care if its good or not, atleast someone is taking a risk, and going away from lowest common denominator.
and to all the people saying it sounds crap, they are probably the same type that said that about thank god you’re here, biggest loser, ladette to lady, wife swap, the amazing race survivor, the block, and top model.

this new concept is no more or less insane, tacky, or low than any of them and they have all tuned out to be a great sucess.

give it a chance, judge it after its aired.

  15. Yet another reason to avoid seven..not that there aren’t enough already. Sounds like it will fit nicely with all the other lowest common denominator rubbish they already show.

  16. I love Beauty and the Geek. It’s hilarious. I think that they should make an australian series of that. It’s not that expensive to do. Channel 7 are probably too cheap to make an australian series of the amazing race (after all, the prze money is a million dollars) , but surely beauty and the geek wouldn’t be that expensive. It is pretty much guranteed to be a hit, as there are so many “nerds” and “airheads” around these days!

  17. sounds like wife swap meets lost tribes << both great shows

knowing 7 it will probably be a half hour show like the real seachange, hot property, Find my family, and last chance learners.

sounds very interesting, i love social experiments, does anyone watch beauty and the geek?

  18. why such a strict age limit surely they could include 16-20yo’s i want to apply. i can understand if 14-15 yo’s can’t be included because of a law but if not they should be included aswell.

i will definately watch, any network that takes a chance on an unusual show like this should be applauded, even if it doesn’t sound any good. it sounds a lot like a ch10 show, does this lower the chances of supermodel getting another season? i can’t imagine 7 having too many realities.

as far as ratings go, definately a demographic winner, not sure about TP’s will probably reflect MMAsupermodel. chopping block, big brother, wife swap, lost tribe and supermodel have all struggled. maybe this will be a turnaround.

  19. well this is . . . . different, ch7 hasn’t really had much luck with reality.

sounds to be a similar formula to wife swap, which i love, but never seems to get the ratings.

i’m sure it will generate a lot of interest, i for one have always wanted to know what it would be like to live in another family.
