Goodbye, ‘Carmella.’

It's the final episode for the character that catapulted Neighbour's Natalie Blair to the Gold Logie shortlist.

Gold Logie nominee Natalie Blair has her final scene in tonight’s Neighbours.

Blair has hit the fame train for her performance in the TEN soap. If it wasn’t for a Logie nomination (in fact, two) the wider audience may not have been quite so familiar with her.

In fact Blair, won the Best New Talent award in 2005, and was nominated for Gold just two years later.

She first joined the series in guest roles in 2003 as Carmella Cammeniti, returning later with storylines that saw her move from a role as a nun to a mother and widow (only in soaps!).

She finishes in the show 6:30pm tonight on TEN.

Carmella makes an excuse not to leave Erinsborough but her friends help her over every hurdle that might stop her from being with Oliver. The Ramsay Streeters gather at the general store to farewell Carmella and Chloe and wish them well for their new life.

  1. I’m watching Carmella go tonight also, its gonna be sad but I have to say its been a real pleasure watching Natalie Blair in the role for the past five years and I wish her all the best in whatever she does next.

    We’ll miss you Carmella!!

  2. Like most I don’t get why she was singled out for the GL but then GLs these days go to anyone it seems.

She’s an ok actress and I didn’t mind Carmella but certainly won’t miss her.

  3. I never got why she was nominated for a gold logie. There’s many more deserving people than her.

I never liked her character, so I’m happy to see her go.
