Oscars for Movie Extra too

Movie Extra will also screen the 2009 Oscars, but is it 30 minutes behind Nine?

Following on from the announcement yesterday that the Nine Network will screen the 2009 Academy Awards live to air, the Movie Extra channel will also screen the event.

Movie Extra also re-screens the full event that same night at 12am plus a 90 minute special highlights program on Wednesday 25th February at 4pm.

  1. Pre-show starts at 8pm, traditionally the show starts at 8.30pm – that means that Nine will be airing the red carpet at 12pm (8pm US) while Movie Extra will cut straight to the telecast at 12.30 (which is 8.30pm).

    So both will be live.
