Airdate: 2009 Grammy Awards

Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry will all perform at the Grammys, screening in Oz live via satellite on Arena.

Awards season rolls on with The 51st Grammy Awards set to screen next month from the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Once again they will air live to air at 12 midday Monday February 1st on the Arena Channel, with a replay at 8:30pm.

So far confirmed performers include Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Lil Wayne, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, Radiohead, Paul McCartney, Jay-Z and T.I. Additional performers, presenters and special segments are yet to be announced.

They are preceded by Red Carpet arrivals at 10am (yep, you guessed it with Joey Fatone and Lisa Rinna) and an Awards Countdown special at 9am.

So far there is no word of any re-broadcast on Free to Air.

    RobbieK, that isn’t true, ‘their first live performance since 2000’, that’s not true.
    I have seen them on many occasions, since 2000.

    I don’t want to have to watch the grammy’s on youtube, because it doesn’t even have it all, and the quality is shockingly shit.
    I know, I’m whinging, but I just want to watch it!.

  2. The grammy’s should be on Aussie free to air. God knows it’s a lot more entertaining than the ARIAs! And the live performances are incredible. I’m particularly bummed I can’t see Robert Plant/Alison Krauss perform. I guess I’ll have to settle for youtube 🙁

  3. What is it with awards shows and free to air tv. No Golden Globes and now no mention of the Grammies. Once apon a time award shows were used by networks to promote their shows now they seem indifferent to them. What’s going on?
