With so many of its new shows launching, Seven currently has no airdate for this season as yet. Don’t be surprised if it comes into play when a show under-performs.

  1. If this show doesn’t rate as well as expected why not add it to the second or third digital channel? That way those who want to see the show get a chance – rather than as with Gilmore Girls and Seventh Heaven beforehand broadcasting the show in non rating season.

If we are about to get to see 15 FTA stations broadcasting up to 24 hours per day that equates to more than 300 hours of television needing to be sourced.

  2. I’m happy that after 13 seasons Amazing Race is still going strong. Hopefully Seven will fast-track this season and we will be able to see it only a week or so after the US sees it.

  3. Paull-

Rob and Amber were in series 7. I’ve lost interest in this show; the so called “clues” have merely become directions “get from point A to point B” as opposed to the first 3 series a.k.a the golden era. Who could forget Zach and Flo? or the unforgettable ending of series 2.

  4. I’m looking forward to the inevitable moment/s where one of the contestants makes an idiotic comment about
    a) the fact they can’t find someone who speaks American or even English 🙂
    b) how poor/smelly/rundown an area is and they can’t believe people live like that
    c) they don’t know where a particular place is (I thought San Marino was in South America) or have a huge misconception about it (do they speak English in New Zealand??)
A delightful counterpoint to those contestants who relish the opportunity to be exposed to other places and cultures and see it as a learning experience rather than something to be endured until they can get back to their running water, cable tv and manicures.

  5. Just a note…there has been a deaf contestant on the Amazing Race ‘brand’, but it was in the Asian version. He was in the 2nd season I do believe.

  6. Aren’t people bored of this after 14 seasons? Same thing again and again. At least shows like Idol are only on once a year, that way ppl don’t get bored of them so quickly. Anyway, I expect this to take over either 24 or Private Practise’s slots after a couple of weeks, if it is going to appear at all.

  7. This is one of the very few shows on television which has survived over the years and is still entertaining and worth watching. Shows like Survivor and Big Brother fell by the wayside in terms of viewer loyalty because the contestants were so bored with staying in some remote African jungle or constantly going to the diary room to kill their boredom by speaking with Big Brother.

Amazing Race is action-packed and always visiting and exploring other places and cultures. The contestants earn the respect or contemp of the audience and many of them are inspirational. Can’t wait for the new series of this show on television.

  8. We are hearing impaired and so glad that there will be a deaf student to participate in amazing race and hoping him to win the game. Please channel 7 fasttrack!

  9. I did note with interst the Thursday Night light up, knowing that it was a couple of years ago an amazing Thursday! And it was still Amazing over Summer. Thanks for the updates. Hope to see it soon.

  10. If I haven’t said it before, no-one does diversity like The Amazing Race. No-one does reality like The Amazing Race either. *Fingers crossed* that you’re right david and one of Seven’s shows flops so that they can slot this in instead.
