FOX pilots on Target
FOX lists a number of new pilots including a comic book adaptation from McG and a new comedy produced by Ben Stiller.

The FOX Network has released details of a chunky development slate which includes four comedy pilots and three dramas.
Entertainment president Kevin Reilly said last week that he planned to order five comedy pilots and at least five drama pilots.
The dramas include a comic-book adaptation a medical drama, and supernatural cop show:
Human Target is based on the DC Comics title. It centres on Christopher Chance, a mysterious security-for-hire who assumes the identities of people in life-threatening danger, becoming the “human target” on behalf of his clients. The Executive Producer is McG. A television pilot, starring former pop star Rick Springfield, was produced in 1990.
Maggie Hill is about a brilliant female surgeon who thrives despite enduring adult-onset schizophrenia. Shark creator Ian Biederman penned the script.
Plus: An ‘untitled reincarnation project’ revolves around past-life investigators who use the concept of reincarnation to solve mysteries of their clients’ previous lives in order to resolve their problems in the present.
In comedy:
The Station is a single-camera pilot from 20th Century Fox and Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Films, revolves around a covert CIA operative and his workmates who are embedded in a South American banana republic with a mission to install a new dictator.
Walorskya is a single-camera pilot is in the tone of the 2003 comedy Bad Santa and centers on a lazy ex-cop-turned-security guard patrolling a mall in Buffalo, N.Y., who is forced to grudgingly step it up after he is assigned an idiot partner.
Two Dollar Beer is a multicamera pilot set in Detroit and revolves around a blue-collar couple and their extended family and friends.
Sons of Tucson is a single-camera pilot channeling the spirit of Slums of Beverly Hills. It centres on a charming but misguided hustler hired by three rich young brothers to act as their “father” while their real one serves time for a white-collar crime.
The seven pilots join drama pilot Eva Adams, which is finishing casting, and fall comedy pilot Boldly Going Nowhere, which is being tweaked and will be reshot.

I’m always up for supernatural-based dramas so I guess Human Target and the reincarnation series could be interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing the casts. I have a feeling Maggie Hill will be a typical procedural drama and if it’s penned by Ian Biederman then it’s almost definite.
I suppose all those comedies will include the laugh track. I won’t be watching any of them.
Standard FOX. None seem particularly interesting.
Nothing much there with the notable exception of the show about reincarnation which sounds very interesting.

Well that promises to revolutionise television forever.
FOX also gave ‘Til Death a fourth season. Go figure. I don’t believe they are as trigger happy with shows now (not that i’ve experienced this) as they were.
Ugh. With the exception of Human Target, the rest of them sound like typical Fox fare that is likely to get axed after the first couple of eps.
