And here is proof George Clooney is indeed shooting a return to ER for the final series of the long running drama.
It’s an appearance that has making the rounds all week. But with pics at Extra it’s a rumour no more.
Also making a return is Noah Wyle, who says “There were interesting conversations to try and figure out where everyone was and how they felt about coming back and doing the final few episodes.
“I think ultimately everyone is really excited and eager to have a sense of closure to what’s been the most defining jobs of all of our lives.”
It’s likely to be some time before the final episodes of Series 15 hit Aussie shores. This week Nine kicks off Series 14.
Meanwhile there are also hint from producer John Wells that a rival channel to NBC has shown interest in picking up the show, which is set to conclude in April.

very glad Nine is going to run straight into series 14 now (haven’t caught up on DL yet 🙂 I’m a long-time huge fan – I’m torn about it continuing, as I think the scripts are still very good, as are the present core of characters, but 15 years is a long time. Welcome back to all the old cast members – it’s going to be special!!
Haven’t watched this show in years (since Anthony Edwards left, actually), but it’s nice to hear Clooney and Noah Wyle are willing to make an appearance in the final season – I was there from the beginning; the two of them had some great individual eps early on.
15 seasons and its still great!! Love that Clooney is back on the show that made him famous. Rumour has it that Julianna M is back too 🙂
Of course John Wells would say that!
He doesn’t want his show togo off the air!
Warner Bros makes NBC cough up a licence fee of about $6million an ep.
No one is interested in it for that kind of money with the tiny ratings it returns nowadays.
Agreed 15 seasons is long enough. It is good of George to come back. Funny, they predicted this in the final episode of Will & Grace when they flash forwared a few years in the future.
I really hope it doesn’t come back for a new season. Come on, 15 years on air is more than enough. Is ABC going to buy even more of NBC’s scraps? No offence to the fans, but I think its about time this show calls it a day
I’d have never thought it – he’s really gone far and beyond his roots on that show – hopefully they have a great storyline to welcome him back.
Wow I wonder if Ellen said something to him last week, or maybe the reason he was so easy to ‘catch’ was the fact he’s on the WB lot doing the show?
