  1. Nice pic up Mac!
Bloody typical, easily the most outstanding song and sound of the whole episode. What a pity Big Country could not tour Australia. God Bless you Stuart Adamson. R.I.P

  2. I hoped for another 1975 ep before this info was released and yay we got one! There are nine in existance and this is the last one to go to air. Sadly though I’ll only have three of them 🙁

Another six episodes into the collection though 🙂

  3. 8 in 1975, 25 in 2009? Can I borrow your time machine?

Can’t wait for Countdown again tonight! The first colour TV I saw it on in 1975 was a Rank Arena! What ever happened to them? It kept working until 1990 or so.

  4. Wow!

The Countdown Sherbet special was actually the first thing I ever saw on colour TV. My parents had just brought home a stunningly expensive 14″ Sony colour television and once plugged in and turned on, we were greeted with the start of Countdown’s ode to Sherbet in glorious colour. I was perhaps, hmm, 8 years old at the time. And my main memory of it was that everything was very red 🙂

This is one I’m going to have to record for posterity!

Oh, and for those asking, yes, I’m only 25.
