Returning: Cold Case
The first programming amendment for 2009 is in. It's from Channel Nine, and it's good news.

While we’re handing out the holiday boquets, let’s give one to Nine which unusually has decided to bring back a brand new season of Cold Case during the non-ratings season.
“Glory Days” is the first episode of season six, which aired in the US in September. It returns Thursday January 8th at 8:30pm. “True Calling” follows a week later.
As the first programming amendment of the 2009 season, it’s also the kind we like to hear, rather than another show being dumped!
Will’s former high school football buddy discovers memorabilia that sheds new light on the 1973 murder of a college football star. New evidence suggests he might have still been alive the morning of the big championship game. Stars Kathryn Morris, Danny Pino and Thom Barry.

I really wonder whether 9 will actually stay with these shows though. Their popularity seems to have waned over the past couple of years and 9 seemed to show them on and off in 2008.
Seph just wait til February. You can be sure they’ll bust out every single cop drama, from all of the CSIs to Without A Trace to The Mentalist to Cold Case. The only ones they might save are Eleventh Hour and CSI Miami for later in the year. Oh how we long for a bit of variety.
Does anyone know if 9 have aired all of season 5 because i know that they played them out of order. Thanks
I wonder how long this’ll last? 9 used to be full of all the CSI’s, Without a Trace and Cold Case. There’s not many on these days. While I’m all for TV moving away from procedural crime dramas (even though I do watch them), I’m not for TV replacing them with pointless dribble.
Now for their next challenge – screen them in the correct fricking order!
Friday amendment from Nine says S6E1 is first run on TCN GTV QTQ Jan 8.
David, the CC ep you mentioned above has already aired last week on Nine but good on them for bringing CC back, I just love this show!
This show is the most bland out of any of the CBS procedurals Nine has. And that’s saying something. That said, its good they’re doing something unorthodox and attempting to play a first-run show through non-ratings. Pity Seven and Ten beat them to it 2 months ago with plenty of fresh content compared to Nine’s repeat-o-rama so far. If Nine had actually attempted airing PD/Chuck/another show which would have been an actual risk, I’d be more impressed.
Smart move by 9. Does that mean that 9 have aired all of season 5 eps. If not does anyone know which ones havent yet aired. Thanks
Kudos to Nine for appearing to do something smart.
Not everyone is on hols.
Now David, if only you had a counter in top right corner.
Programming changes – total 1, Nine 1.
Is this a sign they want to build an audiance or do they just want to fill a hole in the schedule?
