Returning: Housewives, Mother, Brothers & Sisters, Got Talent, Anatomy

No surprises here as Seven confirms more timeslots, just leaving Sunday as its last present to unwrap.

desperate-housewives5TV Tonight can now confirm, as expected, further timeslots for the week of February 1st.

No surprises here:

Monday Feb 2nd:
7:30pm How I Met Your Mother (double episode) S4E1+2
8:30pm Desperate Housewives S5E1
9:30pm Brothers and Sisters S3E1

Wednesday Feb 4th:
7:30pm Australia’s Got Talent S3E1

Thursday Feb 5th:
8:30pm Grey’s Anatomy (double episode) S5 E1+2

This effectively leaves Sunday as Seven’s only uncomfirmed night for next week.

  1. Didnt ch7 only show seasons 1+2 of HIMYM over the summer?
I know they’ve shown S3 in primetime before, but its a bit silly if they are jumping a whole season now.

    Correct me if im wrong.

  2. If Bones was coming back, surely there would have been on-air promotion. There has been none.

    That said, here’s my theory:
Seven are waiting to see where Nine put Underbelly – Sunday or Wednesday – so they can slot Gangs of Oz after it. Why else would they not have confirmed a timeslot? It is also unconfirmed that 24 will retain 9.30 Wednesday. My thinking is, once Underbelly is confirmed, they will slot Gangs of Oz after it, and give 24 the other 9.30 slot. If 24 doesnt perform, they’ll shift it to 10.30 Sundays and bring Bones back for the 9.30 slot.

  3. well that last article “programming war heats up” must be right about bones on sunday, coz it hasn’t been listed for any of the other nights but the 7 website says that it is returning in february.

  4. Lol @ Vman. Read the article properly next time.

There seem to be a lot of people missing confirmed timeslots and asking in various threads – perhaps one single thread along the lines of “2009 schedules”, permanently linked up there with ‘coming soon’ and ‘tv lounge’ would be appropriate? Fill in the blanks as they become known, with a format such as:

    MONDAY
    7.30
    8.00
    8.30

    etc.. just a thought!

  5. Thanks David it is great tio be able to use such a great Blog Website which caters very well to TV Fans. The information is always appreciated and if I miss siomething it is easy to search your recent archives I only need to see the Ch9 schedule to work out whcih shows I will watch record or give up on…
Thanks and keep up the good work!

  6. The site is accumulative, this information has already been published here.

You can also check Coming Soon and Tags if you feel you’ve missed something, and there is also a Search function or you can navigate through the Programming Archive too.

Programming is a constantly changing beast so I’ve tried to make info as searchable as I can. But I’m not up for repeating everything in every post!

  7. Mondays are such an awesome night on tv HIMYM, DH, B&S, BL and 30 Rock. Any idea how long the double episodes of HIMYM will last becuase they wouldn’t want to burn through the episodes too quickly.

  8. Pretty good lineup I reckon overall. They’ve slotted lots of good shows on different nights and they all seem to suit one another…medical night on Thurs, soap night on Mon, crime night on Sun, family night on Tue, and awesome night on Wed!! (haha, thats my 24 bias there coming through)

  9. The HIMYM v 2.5 Men battle will be interesting Mondays.

The 5 year jump has helped Desperate which is much better, Greys is much the same as last year but I’m disappointed a certain character was suddenly dropped.

  10. I’ve aksed this once already I know, but still no sign of the start of the next volume of Heroes? Starts Feb 2nd in the US, so I had hoped to see it listed here a week or so behind?

  11. Ghost Whisperer is also on on Thursdays at 730pm, according to the promo’s on telly at the moment. And i’m pretty sure Private Practic will be on at 930pm Thursdays after the double episode GA week. GA and PP should have stay on on Sundays, and put something else on on thursdays. I think Daily Telegraph said that City Homicide will be on on Sunday nights, cant remember.

  12. Seven are absolutely crazy for ruining two good rating series, HIMYM and DH. They both rated so well on Mondays and Thursdays, DH kept getting 1.2-1.4 mil on Monday last year and HIMYM did just as well.

Sundays now? Up against Loser and Dance? Seven is crazy. They’ve officially lost every single youth and young adult aged 21-30 because they’ll all settle in for dance.

DH will now rate around 1 million and HIMYM will rate less than 900K. They just don’t get it, do they? When you have a winning formula, you don’t mess with it!! Nine haven’t touched Two and a Half Men and looks how well it’s done. They haven’t gotten greedy either. This marks the end of Seven’s gold streak, because with DH now about to rate poorly, that’s their final big US series to slump down.

    They’re fools. They’re greedy fools.
