“I hope that the team and I will take the program to even greater heights of excellence and build on its strong foundations well into the future.”

Executive Producer Tim Mitchell said, “It’s an exciting prospect to have a new face and such a highly regarded plantsman take the helm of Gardening Australia.”

Gardening Australia will celebrate its 20th year on air this year. Ryan, also an author and radio broadcaster has appeared a number of times on the show before.

For his first show, he shows viewers around his garden at Mt. Macedon in country Victoria, and reveals his gardening principles and his passion for plants.
