Nice to see some new names in awards results for once, this time at the Directors Guild of America Awards.
Here are the Outstanding Directorial Achievemen in television:
Best Dramatic Series (Night) went to Dan Attias for “Transitions” an episode of The Wire.
Best Comedy Series was won by Paul Feig for The Office episode “Dinner Party.”
Best Telemovie / Miniseries: Jay Roach for Recount.
Best Reality: America’s Next Top Model
Daytime Serial: One Life to Live
Paul Feig said, “We’re in a real golden age of TV comedy, and I’m just happy to be part of it.”

Yay! The Wire finally wins an award. Everyone should watch this show.
So glad that the overrated Mad Men and 30 Rock finally got boned in an awards ceremony. The Office is a lot better IMO and it gets higher ratings in the states. Without TO as a lead-in, 30’s ratings would drop a lot I reckon
As for America’s Next Top Model, blegh. The Amazing Race may get all the awards but its probably because its a better concept and show.
oh i love the wire. just watched season 1 and was amazing TV. i got season 2-4 for only $12.00 each at jb hifi too on sale in Jan. bargin.
