Gangland television
After an episode already targetting one ethnic group, here's what's coming up next on Seven's new show.

Gangs of Oz premiered last week with 1m viewers, but is yet to attract too much in the way of favourable press.
As previously reported, this week it visits familiar terrain with a story on the disappearance of Donald Mackay in Griffith in the 1970s. Sound familiar?
Next week it will turn its attention to ‘The Bikies – Inside The Band Of Brothers.’
Seven publicity notes it will will looks at the Nomads Newcastle chapter, crushing a $65 million a year amphetamine operation. It will also revisit the day the exotic image of bikies as motorcycle-riding rogues was shattered on Father’s Day 1984 when the Bandidos and the Commancheros clashed in what became known as the Milperra Massacre.
The first man shot speaks on television for the first time.
A week later the show has a cheekily titled episode “The Gangland Wars: A Tale of Three Gangs.”
The show airs 9:30pm Wednesdays on Seven.

I have been concerned at the advertising of “Gangs of Oz” showing scenes of topless women in provocative positions at 8.45pm on Wednesday nights when many children are still watching the television. These previews to the show are pornographic material that should be shown at a much later time slot if they have to be shown at all. This type of show only glorifies sleaze and criminal acts. It would be good to watch a drama series that is able to tell interesting stories of bravery and honourable acts for a change.
8:30 allows M content including for promos, but you can lodge a complaint here.

fair enough that SN used 60mins idea but. gangs of oz is nothing like underbelly not even the same genre and if we include the shows that only “capitalize on others success” imaging how long the list would be.
I would like to see the bikie story told in an Underbelly like series.

Here we go, More tip for tack tactics by Ch7..
Border Security (Ch7) / Customs (Ch9)
RSPCA Animal Rescue (Ch7) / Animal Emergency (Ch9)
Find My Family (Ch7) / Missing Pieces (Ch9)
My Restaurant Rules (Ch7) / The Chopping Block (Ch9)
All networks are guilty of ripping off ideas, Leon. And its “tit for tat” not “tip for tack”
These sorts of programs do not interest me at all. Blarg
It may be nothing like Underbelly, but it is still trying to capitalize on Underbelly’s success.
To be fair, Channel 9 is just as bad – Customs? Missing Pieces? Please, we want original programming.
I haven’t actually seen “Gangs of Oz” to make a judgement on its alleged ethnic targetting.
Gangs of Oz nothing like Underbelly. It is more like a crime documentary series you’d see on the CI channel.
