Joint Seven / AFL game for fire victims
Updated: A NAB Cup Bushfire Appeal Game will be aired by Seven this Friday in Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Channel Seven and the AFL have announced a special appeal match with members of all 16 AFL clubs, this Friday at the Telstra Dome for victims of the Victorian bushfires.
Updated: The NAB Cup Bushfire Appeal Game will now be shown in Victoria, Adelaide and Perth on Channel Seven at 8.30pm local time, and simulcast on Triple M in Melbourne. The match will also air nationally on Fox Sports 1.
All proceeds from the match will be donated to the Victorian Government’s Bushfire Appeal Fund. Tickets will go on sale at 1pm on Tuesday February 10.
Seven Network CEO David Leckie said, “All of us at Seven are deeply saddened by the tragic events of the past few days.
“We are committing our people and resources to not only keeping Australians up to date but also to endeavour to raise as much money as we can through this AFL game and across our network’s television programming to assist those whose lives have been shattered by the dreadful bushfires that have impacted the people of Victoria.”
Seven Melbourne General Manager Lewis Martin added, “Communities and families across Victoria have been devastated by these bushfires. Our thoughts are with all those people affected and we offer our encouragement and support to all those volunteers and firefighters who have fought hard to save communities, families and property.
“We encourage everyone to get behind the Victorian Bushfire Appeal through this special NAB Cup match on Friday night.”

I just got an ad for the DH and B&S double rerun on Friday night on ch7 from 8:30, just I’ll watch FoxSports1
The game will also be shown Live into Tasmania and Darwin as well, but not the rest of Northern Territory. As for NSW, ACT and Queensland, the Friday late night timeslot is currently marked as TBA on both Yahoo7 and ebroadcast TV guides, so anything can change.
I hope it goes Live to Brisbane as well .
I just rung Channel 7 , and got told , it is not planned to be shown in Queensland.
I urge all readers from Brisbane, to ring channel 7 – 07 3369 7777 , and recomend to them , that the match , be shown Live on Friday night.
Will this be going live into all states on Friday. I live in NSW and I would love to hope so because i think the bushfire appeal is a really good thing.

This game was originally allocated to Fox Sports when the fixture came out late last year. Fox Sports will still show it live around Australia, but in Victoria it will also be seen on Channel Seven and Prime.

good on those wanting to help and raise money for those who need it..7 9 10 SBS ABC and other charities are doing their bit to raise money well done AFL and Cricket Australia for doing their bit…I have written other comments in the Air Date blog re 9 network
