Returning: Ice Road Truckers

Big bad truckers take on a 350-mile long highway of ice once more.

ice-road-truckersCanadian factual series Ice Road Truckers returns to TEN this Saturday night with the episode “Driving on Thin Ice.”

Up in Yellowknife, these truckers have to drive enormous semis on a 350-mile long highway of ice.

In extreme cold conditions, they haul equipment and supplies to miners in the Canadian tundra in the dead of winter. It’s a perilous mission that can go wrong at any moment. It’s dramatically-told documentary TV.

TEN showed a few episodes last year but pulled it from schedule.

It returns 6:30pm Saturday February 21.

  1. Daryl they do run B-double trucks on the ice roads but they call them super-B that is an A-trailer and a B-trailer the same as we have in aus and they can’t use road trains because they would be to much weight on the ice with that truck.

  2. Well guys after watching all the crap of ice road truckers for two seasons i fell that these guys (pussies) havent got an idea of trucking at all, they talk of 50 loads for the season well my man it can be tripled by running a b double or as we call it in Australia a road train, 3-5 trailers, get real we do it only if the monies right and do it to the limit, alex ,drew and all the other pussies are good at doing office hours but get a few real truckers from aus and we wil show the boys what ezactly what it is about,, in Aus we can run on normal roads what they call a b double truck and an a trailer, for the life of me i cant see why they cant run that on the ice road,,,, i invite you to contact me and explain why truckers are the ultimate in aus and given the opertunity could be a great story on fox8.

  3. They have hardly any shows left for mid year…come July, outside of low-raters like Burn Notice, Supernatural and Rush, what will they air? NCIS and House repeats? the US SYTYCD? Well, they have Criminal Intent which always rates well, but apart from that, they’re likely to bomb harder than last year
