Now summer is over, claims are being made on who out performed whom.
Free to Air television claims it had the lion’s share of viewers.
Meanwhile the subscription TV industry body ASTRA says it had “more viewers in summer than any other network.”
But Pay TV combines all its channels to create “one network” and measures its audiences between 6am-midnight while Free to Air focusses on 6pm-midnight.
For its part Free TV Australia has issued figures for the top rating shows over summer, 17 of which are sports events.
Please note these are the top rated shows in both metropolitan and regional audiences combined -which differs from the “standard ratings” of 5 city metro.

I’m with Andrew. It was odd to see all the returning shows in that list. I was expecting to see how shows like Eli Stone, Ugly Betty and ER fared.
Which episode was that 1.6mill H&A episode??
And also, did we ever get any ratings for Carols in the Domain?
I think the last week of non-ratings should be omitted in this report so a clearer picture can be seen of what really did well during summer as to me it is wrong that Packed to the Rafters, etc is there when they were returning for their new seasons one week prior to ratings beginning.
