Elvis Costello fans know the guy is ultra cool and extremely talented, so here’s a show to add to your diary.
Elvis Costello With… is a new music talk series hosted by the man himself.
Each one hour episode will feature a big name guest:Â Sir Elton John, Tony Bennett, Lou Reed, Bill Clinton and The Police.
The series begins with Sir Elton John who talks about his collaboration with lyricist/singer Bernie Taupin and some of the music icons who influenced his career such as Leon Russell, Laura Nyro and David Ackles.
Each artist not only talks but performs in new, stripped-down or solo versions of some of their best-loved songs (look forward to Bill Clinton on that one!). Elvis Costello also performs, starting each episode with an original, never before heard nterpretation of a song by the featured guest, or a song connected to them.
It sounds like a treat. This premieres on ABC2 at 8:30pm Friday March 20th and will be repeated on ABC1 Thursday, March 26 at 11:30pm.

Excellent news. Thanks ABC. The first ep features a beautiful version of David Ackles’ ‘Down River’ by Elvis and Elton. Worth watching for that alone.
