Chandon takes a second Picture

Guest cast for the second season of Chandon Pictures includes Josh Lawson, Roy Billing, Dan Wyllie and Dony Hany.

chandonpixThe second season of Chandon Pictures, which returns to Movie Extra this month, has lined up some familiar faces for its guest cast: Josh Lawson (Thank God You’re Here, Wipeout), Lachy Hulme (The Hollowmen), Dan Wyllie (Love My Way), Roy Billing (Underbelly), Don Hany (Underbelly, East West 101) David James (The Hollowmen), Lynette Curran (Love My Way, All Saints) and Marshall Napier (City Homicide).

Both Lawson and Hulme appeared in S1.

The story for the second season sees Tom (Rob Carlton) return somewhat defeated from a brief stint in Hollywood. The Chandon crew are forced to open up new headquarters and Tom’s cousin Larraby moves in to take over as business manager.

Tom and Lucy are both experiencing romantic dilemmas, while Nick is coping with the many pressures of parenthood. Larraby discovers his unexpected flair for film-making but Tom, once the driving force behind the team, seems to have lost his magic touch.

In addition to the first series screening on ABC, last year an international distribution deal saw format sales to Lionsgate to produce a US version.

The series started life in the 2006 Tropfest competition.

It returns March 19 on Movie Extra.

  1. Been watching this on ABC, some how it completely slipped by me when it was on foxtel.

I caught the first episode by accident and quite liked it, but it has been a bit of a struggle subsequent weeks. It’s ok.. but it is not as good as it could be. I think some of the idea’s are there, but the writing is lacking in enough humour needed to stretch this out to a full program.

Hopefully the second season is better.
