It’s official, Chris O’Donnell has signed his deal to star in CBS’ NCIS spin-off.
O’Donnell will play Callen, a troubled, enigmatic lead agent whose natural talent for undercover work is legend. He joins the previously-announced Louise Lombard (CSI) Peter Cambor (Notes From the Underbelly) and Daniela Ruah in the show.
LL Cool J has also been confirmed to be playing the role of Special Agent Sam Hanna, an ex-Navy SEAL, who works in the undercover unit of NCIS in Los Angeles, and is also fluent in Arabic and an expert on Middle Eastern culture.
The spin-off will air as a two-part episode of NCIS.

Echoes of David Callan, played by Edward Woodward, the British secret agent and conflicted killer from the 1960s. I’m sure this “Callen” won’t be anywhere near as interesting.
NCIS: Boston (Legal)
NCIS: NY
NCIS: Profiler
NCIS: 90210
NCIS: Las Vegas
NCIS: Undercover in LA??
NCIS: Army Investigations Unit
NCIS: Miami
NCIS: Criminal Intent
NCIS: SVU
CBS loves its crime shows. There was also talk of a Criminal Minds spinoff earlier
Enough with the spin-offs! I liked JAG and love NCIS but come on, well at least they don’t have a dozen different varieties going at once like CSI or L&O 😆
