Nine lines up a bumper crop two hour finale, bringing back past farmers from its first two seasons.

natalie-g2Nine will conclude The Farmer Wants a Wife with a two hour finale on Wednesday, April 1 from 7.30pm.

Last night the show had 1.2m viewers, down on Australia’s Got Talent at 1.32m. But the series finale last year was a very strong 1.7m.

10 farmers from series one and two will comprise part of this season closer, with an update on their love lives.

“This series finale is the most moving and heart-warming I have ever been involved with,” said Natalie Gruzlewski. “There are a lot of surprises and secret happenings that go on behind the scenes which is why we have decided to make this a bumper episode. Anyone with a heart will love it, and if you’re already a fan this will be the ultimate Farmer-fest.”

Farmers Damian, Ralph, Tim, Andrew, Paul and Jenny will reveal all on whether anyone has stolen their hearts and hay bales.

Given the April1 airdate, I don’t suppose somebody could shout “April Fool’s” at the end of it?

  2. This is one show on Nine that has me hooked.
    Call it ‘feel good’ factor or the story telling or maybe lack of smut but I keep watching.
    One show on Nine that Nine got host and format right.

  3. david are you sure about that? there is talk that sea patrol is moving into wednesdays after easter which would mean that the mentalist would be pushed to 9:30 or held on hiatus for CM and houses off season.
