On Friday Ian Smith dropped into the studio to chat about his 20+ years with the soapie. He talks about fame, storylines, retirement, publicity departments, ‘stalker fans’ and more. He even concedes that if he had his time again he would bypass television for theatre.

But the real joy is in the second clip as he is joined by Tom Oliver, Jackie Woodburne and Benji Hart.

Watching Oliver and Smith trade jokes is like watching Statler and Waldorf from The Muppet Show!

  1. That’s exactly what I thought. Ah well, it would a good interview anyway. The joke about the amnesia storylines, and Ian say “I forgot” is such an old joke, but god it was funny when he said it.

  2. Benji?? Benji?? Lol that’s strange that he was on it!! He didn’t even speak to Harold on his time on Neighbours!! He was such a miniscule character it’s not funny!!
