Richard Hammond off to the Opera House
A second season of Engineering Connections, hosted by Richard Hammond, will look at modern structures including the Sydney Opera House.

Top Gear’s Richard Hammond will front a second season of National Geographic’s Engineering Connections, a series that explores some of the world’s most impressive structures.
The new season will examine modern-day structures including Wembley Stadium and France’s Millau Bridge -and it will feature an episode on the Sydney Opera House.
“It’s a joy to work with the team on such well produced, attractive programmes that really are just dripping with content,” said Hammond. “Throughout the first series, it was the facts that spoke for themselves. And I had the absolute pleasure of roaming the globe finding them out and presenting them to an audience that, it turns out, is as hungry for knowledge as me.”
The National Geographic channel will re-screen the first series in an Easter Sunday marathon on April 12.
The new season will premiere in Australia in early 2010.
