SBS moves Sydney & Melbourne sales in-house

As expected, sales agents for SBS are moving in-house in two key markets.

sbs-logo-20081Following from speculation earlier this week, SBS and its key sales agency Stenmark has announced its Sydney and Melbourne television and online sales functions will move in-house from July 1st.

Stenmark will continue to represent SBS in the Queensland, South Australian and West Australian markets, but the sales teams in Sydney and Melbourne will become part of SBS.

SBS Managing Director Shaun Brown said: “SBS has a long-standing and valuable partnership with The Stenmark Organisation which has produced strong revenue growth.

“Stenmark’s Sydney and Melbourne television and online sales teams will now join the radio sales team and content sales and distribution teams in-house at SBS. Stenmark will continue to represent SBS across the rest of Australia and will provide valuable advice during the transition to a largely in-house sales model.”

SBS says the shift is taking place cooperatively between both parties.

Stenmark’s Managing Director Damien Stenmark, said: “Stenmark’s partnership with SBS has had great longevity and been highly productive for both parties.

“Stenmark will continue to work with SBS in an advisory capacity for a number of years.”

  1. What a borring station it is now. In house sales. Every priority is about making money now. The great thing is they will have to plead soon for public funding and they wont get it without the board having to fall on their swords.
