Seven is preparing its new comedy show Thank God You’re Here, which it poached from TEN at a new studio space at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
“We needed something big to accommodate our audience and this is perfect here,” Tom Gleisner said. “It’s turning into a bit of a studio lot.”
The studio recently housed season two of the ABC’s Librarians, which had to find a new home after the building it built as a library in Sturt St South Melbourne was no longer available. That’s likely to leave Middleton Interactive Library with a different look, especially for exteriors.
TGYH is likely to launch after Easter and become one of the network’s big second-quarter shows. Don’t be surprised if it takes the place of Australia’s Got Talent on Wednesday nights.
The show is once again hosted by Shane Bourne, already entrenched as a Seven personality thanks to City Homicide.

I’m half expecting Channel 10 to have looked at making another Improv show, I mean, you’ve got the World’s Best Comedians in Melbourne right now, with tapings of GNW, I’d be surprised if they’re not at least sending out feelers for something vaguely along those lines.
