Underbelly marathon on Nine

ubmNine has scheduled an Underbelly marathon to screen during the Easter non-ratings break.

UPDATED: On Monday April 6th, it will air episodes 4 /5 /6  from 8:30pm – 12:10am on TCN and QTQ.

GTV viewers will see repeats of eps 4 and 5 with Footy Classified at 10:30pm.

So far 8 eps have aired with last night’s audience the lowest this season. But at 2.07m viewers it remains the year’s biggest hit. Will it be enough to beat the finale for Packed to the Rafters? It would certainly be a statement if Nine’s lowest ep of drama bettered Seven’s best this year. Rafters is yet to crack the 2m mark this year.

Seven recently screened a Desperate Housewives marathon on a Sunday arvo as a way of trying to boost its audience.

  3. Sick sad Seven did a marathon on Desperate Housewives…overplaying this and that to get ratings up again, but I think that’s unfortunate and this is a suprise that Nausing Nine is the same thing with Underbelly.

  5. brisvegas, I’m sure that if we didn’t have ACMA breathing down the networks neck all the time the show would be able to live up to its name in terms of proving more “underbelly” action.

  6. Why dont they just rename the next season of the series to “over belly”. The series seems to be obsessed with things above the belly button…… To call it underbelly is a bit misleading….

  7. Must be hard to work out when to put “plot driven boob shot” into Underbelly 2 – every 4 minutes or 5 minutes.
    Still love the intro for show – based on events.
    Yeah right – 5% maybe

  11. What’s the point of randomly showing episodes 4 and 5 in Victoria? Having missed the start of this season, it might have been a chance to get me watching. But guess not.

    Then again, I really only need to check the RSS feed of the Boobs Of Underbelly blog to get all the essential plot developments in the show each week 😉

  13. just an idea : people should sit down for the boobathon – sorry, marathon – and time the length of mammary related scenes. I propose this being done with each episode, so after the 4 hours, the average can be calculated 🙂
    we can calculate the storyline to boob ratio e.g : 3:1 (3 minutes of story to every 1 minute of mammaries).
