ABC TV will be airing live coverage of the ANZAC Day parades from the capital cities of every State of Australia on ABC1.
It begins with the Dawn Service from Gallipoli in Turkey, live in each State on ABC1 and ABC HD.
Miriam Corowa, presenter of both Message Stick will present the broadcast.
For the second year, the ABC will present coverage of the Dawn Service from Villers-Bretonneux in France, which commemorates the achievement of Australian soldiers on Anzac Day 1918.
ABC2 will screen coverage of the Lone Pine commemorative ceremony from Turkey at 5pm AEST on Anzac Day, presented by Miriam Corowa.
Other special programming this year includes the documentary Lost in Flanders, and a Compass special Windows to Sandakan.
This year’s coverage of the ANZAC Day commemorations also takes on a new multimedia, multi-platform aspect with the Gallipoli: The First Day website launching on 24th April (abc.net.au/Gallipoli), and the ANZAC Day coverage available for first time on iView (http://abc.net.au/iview).

i’m glad that theabc is writibg about anzac day
I’m very pleased to see the ABC’s continuing coverage the of Villers-Bretonneux service. My grandmother lost two brothers there and the reminder of what happened in Villers-Bretonneux has been greatly overlooked for many years.
