ABC has picked up series two of scripted British comedy Moving Wallpaper which is based around the now defunct soap Echo Beach.
As a ruthless dissection of the making of soap, it’s a great watch for true fans of television. In fact ABC will also re-screen the first series. It has previously screened on ABC2.
The first series will replace Lawrence Leung from 9:30pm next Wednesday
ABC has also picked up the 13 x 1 hr series, Jack Osbourne: No Limits. Riiiiiiiiiiight.

Haha sorry I didn’t at all mean anything by that but I’m sure an older audience is the key demo for the ABC.
@John: The ABC is for all Australians not just the “mature” ones :-)
The second series was based around zombies and once there was no link to the defunct Echo Beach it lost its zing, unfortunately.
Thanks guys. The original source says (30×30′) but it seems there are 18 eps across 2 series.
Between The United States of Tara and this Jack Osbourne show it’s quite curious what’s happening at the ABC.
The mature audiences won’t go for either of these programs.
series two goes for 30 episodes? Isn’t the second series just based around a mock horror flick? 30 episodes is stretching the tale a bit isn’t it?
Moving wallpaper was only 6 eps for series two. It was no where near as good as the first series either. Good to see that ABC has picked up the series relatively quickly though as it only ended a few weeks ago.
Good on ABC I loved the original…
The first series was excellent. Looking forward to the new one.
Are you sure Moving Wallpaper S2 is 30×30 ?
Just finished watching Series 2 and there seems to be only 6 episodes ? or is there more to come later in the year?
