Arkansas’ KARK 4 news anchor Courtney Collins got a bit of a surprise when her boyfriend Pete Thompson wandered onto set with the words, “Breaking news.”
“You guys are doing a great job … but I’m going to have to relieve you of your duties right now,” he said.
He proceeded to propose to Collins on air as her sidekicks made a discreet exit.
It’s verrrry American, cue the violins….

Those producers will do anything to avoid a slow news day won’t they? 😛 Since it was obviously planned, I wonder why they chose to go to a shaky handheld camera instead of sticking with the studio cameras for all shots…
