Actor John Adam will play Detective Senior Constable Nick Buchanan when Seven's City Homicide returns later this year.

city-homSeven has announced actor John Adam has joined City Homicide for episodes to air later this year.

The NIDA graduate has featured in several Aussie dramas, including Home and Away, All Saints and Underbelly.

Adam will play Detective Senior Constable Nick Buchanan, and adds to the cast alongside actress Nadia Townsend who started as Detective Senior Constable Allie Kingston at the beginning of the year.

Adam has also performed with the Sydney Theatre Company and the Bell Shakespeare Company and was recently nominated for a Green Room Awards for his portrayal in Frost/Nixon, coincidentally alongside Marshall Napier, who played William Sparkes in the first two series of City Homicide.

Daniel MacPherson has previously stated he will leave the series to pursue a career in the US, but continue with Dancing with the Stars.

Lucky John Adam isn’t John AdamS -then he’s need his own mini-series.

  1. I love City Homicide and am eagerly awaiting its return… I welcome John Adam’s appearance he was fantastic portraying Brian Alexander’s lawyer in Underbelly…However, Noni is the best by far.. Noni for Logie lord help Channel 7 if they write her character off… it is funny though Noni used to be on Playschool so it is a case of open wide come inside ……. (shotgun sound)

  2. John Adam will be a great addition to City Homicide. Will be great to get some new blood in there. One of the great Aussie made shows at the moment

  3. I spotted him in the last episode of Underbelly and thought I hadn’t seen him in anything since he left Home & away in the 90s. Obviously wasn’t watching AllSaints when he was in that.
