Tonight’s episode of Insight has an entire audience under the age of 20 years old.
This special episode throws out the adults and includes video diaries filmed with 12 to 20 year olds from around the country. They reveal some of the myths surrounding the impact of divorce and separation on both younger and older children.
Last year, over one in four of Australian kids grew up in either a step or blended family or with one single parent. 43% of marriages now end in divorce and over one million kids grow up with their natural parent living elsewhere.
Jenny Brockie again shows this is a programme that visits interesting topics in an accessible and inventive way.
It airs at 7:30pm tonight on SBS.

Well done to the kids and congratulations on a good show. Do parents actually think of the children when getting a divorce, these days? Sadly, money is usually the first thing that enters the equation, then the kids.
Great show that was. Really opens your eyes. I certainly hope it opened a lot of parent’s eyes.
Another reason why parents should have an intelligence test before being allowed to have children.
I’m looking forward to this one! Should be interesting. I’m always surprised at how intelligent and articulate children are on these types of shows.
