  1. I doubt it will flop here Benno, for some reason Aussies lap up the border security format, i thought Customs would have flopped badly, but look at it.

Lovin all those shows, wont be watchin the other channels very much. it would make more sense for them to have moved Criminal Minds to 8.30 Sunday, new bones 9.30 sunday, then have Earl and Family guy at 8.30 – 9.30, then ponderland. i guess if it aint broke. Lost is fine at 11.00, the die hard fans will follow. That show is well and truly past its use by date

  2. A bit of trivia for you Someobe BBBA: Lost is the second most downloaded TV show in the world at the moment.

BS USA flopped badly over there. I hope it follows suit here too.

  3. hey david could you please tell me now whats happing with that show callled disorderly conduct caught on tape cos it use to be on at 11.30 but now if lost is at 11.00 does this mean it will be on at midnight or not at all

  4. Lost at 11pm isn’t stupid. It’ll do the same numbers as it is at 10.30pm. I completely agree with ‘Someobe BBBA’. Seven are justified in where they’ve slotted it.

I absolutely love the show, so i’ll continue to source it even though Seven have been pretty close to the US airdates, just to get my fix that little bit earlier and avoid the spoilers that are always floating around the internet.

I like the look of Seven’s Wednesdays, a night I usually find myself on the ABC. I think I’ll be on Seven from 7.30-8.30, then ABC for an hour and then back to Seven for the rest of the night. Should kill it in the younger demos. Nine would be wise to pack the older skewing shows on Wednesdays, and leave Ten to pick up the scraps, much like they are now.

  5. thats sucks! lost out to 11…damn its such a great show, it slipped during late season 2 and season 3 but its been amazing anc confusing since last year. earl at 9 30? it used to do well at 7 30 didnt it. a show that starts at 10 on seven? wont work.

  6. Hmmm… Looks as though I won’t be watching any of these new offerings. Don’t know about you but 10 Years Younger in 10 Days does not scream “9:30 show” to me. Earl at 9:30 is a little iffy too. We’ll just have to see how they all rate, and how long it’ll be until they decide to schedule The Amazing Race…

  7. I agree with Andrew B, 9:30 is an odd time for Earl. I have seen most of this season and it has some “cracker” episodes including Danny Glover as crab-man’s father.
This current season of Family Guy is struggling. I am a huge fan of this show but it is time that they canceled it.

  8. I like the new Wednesdays.

As for Lost fans it’s been dying in the states just be happy it’s not cancelled. Which it deserves to since it’s jumped the shark so many times.

Good to see Family Guy getting a timeslot nearly worthy of its greatness.

    Look forward to Ponderland too.

  9. Seven are obviously going for a male skewing monday night with Criminal Minds, Earl, Family Guy, Ponderland and Lost. I think that line up is going to do very well in the demos.

  10. strange time for earl and family guy given all the ads. lost being pushed back also means that prisonbreak will be on at 11pm. good to see new bones finally.

  11. Smart move by 7 to schedule Border USA in that slot. Grant Bowler is apparently dubbing it, in the same vein as Vince Collosimo on Customs.

I’d prefer Ponderland earlier, but Wednesday will have me glued to 7 all night.

  12. danness, don’t blame Seven for the fact that Lost has been rating so poorly – blame the stupidity of the Australian public. Channel Seven have been fully justified in their treatment of the program. They are are business, not a charity, and to expect them to keep the show on during mid-evening time slots is insane.

Alas, the Australian public are so pathetically small-minded that they gave up on Lost the moment the plot becomes too complicated for their precious little minds to handle. And to make matters even more aggravating for us superior and enlightened folk, you get morons like Fergus Shiel in this weeks Green Guide blaming the writers and producers for their own inability to comprehend this fantastic show. It doesn’t say a lot about Australian society, when Lost has been rating comparatively well in the US, that country we so often like to portray as being so far below us on the intellectual scales.

Nevertheless, I look forward to watching Russel Brand; he is, if you ask me, the finest living comedian. But the Australian public probably just won’t “get him” … 🙁

  13. Wednesday night seems a bit odd – having Earl and Family Guy after Criminal Minds (I assume that’s still on 8.30 Wed) – sounds like a ch 9 style bad mix. Look forward to Ponderland as well. Hope all these things start on time, not late or even early like some shows do after 10.30.

  14. I cannot believe how they now treat Lost. Bumping it for… Russell Brand?!? Disgusting. Lost used to be one of their highest rating shows. Seven, it only has 1 1/2 seasons left. At least let it go out with some dignity.
