Returning: The Force

May the Force be with you. Seven's fly-on-the-wall cop series is back from Sunday April 19th.

theforceSeven’s factual series The Force: Behind the Line returns on Sunday week in an 8pm timeslot.

The Seven-made series again depicts city and country-based officers of the NSW Police Force and Western Australia Police on the job.

As another fly-on-the-wall series it has proven popular with Seven’s audience, averaging 1.69 million viewers last year, down slightly from 1.85m in 2007. It always does well paired with Border Security.

Simon Reeve returns as presenter.

TEN is also developing a cop-themed factual, Recruits, which follows police trainees at NSW Police College in Goulburn.

  1. I watched last nights episode 15th November and during this episode it reitterated the fact that the majority of police officers that issue yellow stickers (defect notices) know nothing what so ever about vehicles. In one instance during this episode an officer pulled over a driver of a vehicle for a licence check of which he had no licence, but he so called inspected the vehicle and asked the driver why the right hand rear wheel was bald. The driver stated that the vehicle was like thy when they bought it. Sarcasticly the police officer replied with “it wouldn’t be from burnouts would it?”
I’m not sure of the vast knowledge of police officers, but I find it near on impossible to do a burnout on the rear tyres of a front wheel drive car?
No wonder people are getting defects for nothing at all, I have a suggestion, maybe the police officers of today should go through a vehicle familiarization course??

  2. ahhh why always on a sunday now! They did that with border security and so it meant I missed the whole season. Well, they’ve lost my viewership for this season of the force. I only have enough space to tape one thing on sunday night, and that’s 24.

  3. Should hold more of that 1.5 mil BS audience than 000 Heroes (which was a great show, I hope Seven bring back more of that)

I’m looking forward to Ten’s Recruits show, it should be a good watch. Its something a little different.
