Alex O’Loughlin series for CBS

Three Rivers gets a prime slot on CBS' Fall schedule going head to head with Desperate Housewives.

aolAlex O’Loughlin’s new US series Three Rivers will screen on CBS in the US Fall season.

Together with Simon Baker, he becomes another Aussie lead in a primetime series on CBS next Fall -effectively filling the gap left by Anthony LaPaglia’s cancelled Without a Trace. The series about organ transplants also features The L Word‘s Katherine Moennig. Each story is told from the point of view of a doctor, recipient and donor.

The show will go head to head with Desperate Housewives, amongst others.

CBS also officially picks up Medium.

“If Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs had an offspring, it would be Medium,” said entertainment president Nina Tassler.

O’Loughlin, who won an avid fanbase from Moonlight, also gave a guest performance in Criminal Minds which airs on Seven next week.

  1. I lovd Moonlight, so yes I turned to the interenet to watch the other 8 episodes. I even bought DVD from UK on Ebay, couldn’t wait for it to come here.

Alex’s Vincent was heart reding for an OCD serial Killer.

In the September CBS will start his new series, which looking at promo seems full of action, fast paced. So, do we get to see it in his country of birth.

Come on Channel 9, or 7 pick it up. Crimianl Minds was on 7, so we were able to watch Big Weel a month after the USA. Alex deserves a break in his own country.

He is alseo at present busy making a move “Back up Plan” with J Lo. Can’t the channels over here see how popular he is, and what a fantastic actor his is/ Give him a fiar go.

  2. I know what you mean Craig nine really did drop the ball when they didn’t air all sixteen eps of the brilliant Moonlight which left fans like me downloading the show!
I also totally agree with Lisa when she said the following I feel the same way!!!

I too am curious about which network will pick up Three Rivers. Hopefully not Nine as it totally screwed up with Moonlight. Alex O’Loughlin is hot property in the States. He was on a holding contract with CBS while they find him a show to star in and Three Rivers looks like it will be great for his career. What other Aussie actor has had that special treatment in the U.S.? And when will the Aussie media give Alex the respect and publicity he deserves?

  3. I would also like to know who will screen this here in Oz. It’s a CBS Paramount (or whatever they call themselves these days) production.

  5. Excellent news re Medium going to CBS. Screw you NBC! Friday nights paired up with it’s dumbed down clone Ghost Whisperer and Numb3rs would be ideal.

With the exception of Life all my favorite shows have been renewed.
