Eurovision: the bizarre
Are you ready for Elvis from Belgium, the world's oldest boyband from The Netherlands and the Czech Republic's own "Greatest American Hero?"

Eurovision is usually far more notorious for its bizarre acts than those that have emerged in the running so far this year.
Still hopefully there are some that will take a perfectly good audio track and ruin it with costume or choreography!
BELGIUM: Copycat “Copycat”
CZECH REPUBLIC: Gypsy.cz “Aven Romale”
NETHERLANDS: The Toppers “Shine”

I think if I were any of these nationalities I’d be deeply embarrassed by Eurovision. As funny as it consistently is, it also reinforces a stereotype of non-anglo pop culture that is stilted, try-hard and tacky. Throw Borat on there, and you’d wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between parody and the real thing.
I like Eurovision but don’t reckon this year will be as good without the snarky Terry Wogan commentary.
Can’t wait.
Go Arash (who is for some reason representing Azerbaijan)!!
Greece to win! +=
Wheres Dez Mangen? He should be back on SBS for this. A legend.
The Czech Republic has ordered Superman to obey OH&S standards. Wow, that’s a bright costume. 😀
Russian gays are hoping Eurovision gives them a chance to put their case, and are asking contestants to wear a rainbow symbol when they perform – hope Julia does.
