  1. I am with BOQ in that I love NCIS as well and find the only thing wrong with it is the Tony DiNozzo character, he was quaint and quirky to begin with but to be the same flrty obsessed air head after 6 years (albeit minus a short stint when he was in love), is just too annoying for words now.

If the DiNozzo character does not grow up soon it will be the end of watching NCIS for me, so this spin-off may come at the right time for me if it turns out okay, I’ll miss Abby, Ducky and Co, but I really do not think I can continue watching the way DiNozzo is (just so tiresome after 6 years of the same thing without growth).

  2. I love NCIS – except maybe the overly-charismatic Anthony deNozzo character. And Chris O’D is superb eye candy…. so I will definitely give this a shot. That said, without Abby and Duckie it could be a tad … csi’ish

  3. It’s exactly the same and will likely lead to less original storytelling and more 2 dimensional characters much like the shows mentioned.

  4. Michael,
isnt this more like having CSI, CSI:Miami and CSI;NY? Or like Law & Order, CI, SVU and all the other Law & Order franchises?

Seeing the success of NCIS, it wouldnt be that farfetched for a spinoff series to do well with a similar format, would it?

  5. Didn’t find the episodes interesting. A spin off needs to run differently than it’s parent show, this is sort of like having two star treks set aboard the enterprise at the same time.
