Jeff Goldblum debuts in Law & Order: CI

This week on Law & Order:CI, Jeff Goldblum joins the force as a cerebral detective on the case of a murdered artist.

goldblumThis week on TEN Jeff Goldblum joins Law & Order: Criminal Intent, playing Detective Zach Nicholas.

Goldblum was effectively brought in following the exit of Chris Noth. It’s his first ongoing role since the demise of Raines.

Nichols left the police force to discover the meaning of life. But according to him, a cerebral, quirky and efficient policeman does not stay away for long. Now, his Socratic approach to crime scene investigation has his new partner, Detective Megan Wheeler, and his old partner, Captain Danny Ross, trying to keep up.

In his first episode “Rockstar”, Nichols’ first case involves the murder of an artist, but it’s unclear whether the ethnically-charged neighbourhood he lived in played a part in his death, or whether it was something more personal.

You can catch Goldblum’s debut 8:30pm Thursday on TEN.

  1. lol Mark. I’ve seen a movie or two he has been in, but the name didn’t ring a bell. I’ve seen Independence Day and Jurassic Park, quite a while ago though.

  2. “…never really heard of Jeff Goldblum before…” What the hell? I must be getting old if there’s a generation that hasn’t heard of this guy or seen most of his movies 😛

  3. I’m with you Chris, skipped all of Noth’s eps; he’s a useless actor to me; cant stand him. I love Jeff Goldblum tho 🙂 I’m very excited to see this ep! ;]

  4. lol.. christopher i completely agree.. chris north was too cold.. i’ll be watching it each week now too.. I used to always find Jeff Goldblum extremely annoying.. but that’s just the type of characters he plays.. i hope it’s good 🙂
