Kiefer Sutherland charged with assault
After he voluntarily fronted to police, Kiefer Sutherland has now been officially charged with assault.

Kiefer Sutherland has officially been charged with assault for allegedly head-butting a clothing designer at a nightclub. Charges were filed after the 24 star reported to the police alongside his lawyers but did not give a statement.
The problem for producers (again) is that any legal penalty could affect production on the eighth season of the FOX drama which is set to begin at the end of the month.
Sutherland’s last jail time was set to interrupt production on the seventh season but the actor managed to liaise the prison time during the writer’s strike.
One source close to Sutherland dismissed the matter as being overblown by the media and said they expect any penalty to be minor enough to allow the actor to start production on schedule.
Details about what exactly happened on Monday night remain sketchy, with Sutherland’s representative saying fashion designer Jack McCollough rudely bumped into actress Brooke Shields while she was talking to the actor at the event. Sutherland demanded an apology, then head-butted McCollough.
The Los Angeles city attorney’s office reportedly is trying to determine whether Sutherland violated the terms of his parole.

Jack Bauer!! What a hero. Haha but hopefully this doesn’t screw up 24’s 8th season, there was already a year long gap with the writer’s strike last year and another gap in production and airing with Sutherland in jail would not benefit the show at all.
If he has done anything wrong then contact to a nice lawyer.

I found it interesting that instead of throwing a punch after the guy reportedly shoved him, Kiefer responded with a head-butt.
Such a Jack Bauer thing to do.
You know you’re not meant to praise someone for breaking the law……but damn, Jack Bauer, cool even in a nightclub!
