Merlin back for more magic

Here's one of the few times a network actually adds an 'encore' based on people asking for more.

arthurIn one of the few times (at least according to this site) that an ‘Encore’ performance actually follows the audience asking for more, Merlin will get a repeat on TEN this Sunday afternoon.

If you missed the episode you can catch it at 12pm in place of Oprah’s Big Give which moves to 1pm in place of Don’t Forget the Lyrics.

Usually the word “encore” is just a trumped up dressing for “repeat,” overlooking the basic concept of an audience actually asking for more.

  1. I told you it was good!!!
It just gets better as the season goes on … i love it!
The only problem is that it will be up against that new Renovation show from this Sunday …
    Jack!

  2. It may actually be true this time. I call them yesterday to request a repeat (sorry, ‘encore’) of the first episode, as my wife nearly had a heart attack when she missed it.

Of course, they said that they wouldn’t be doing it … unless there was substantial demand / requests.

A lot can happen in 24 hours!!!

  3. Good one 10!! 😉

I enjoyed the first episode, and will keep watching. I see the first season is already up for preorder from ezydvd (2nd of July)

  4. I really enjoyed Merlin.
The story got straight to the point, no faffing around. Merlin has magic in his blood, yet magic is banned, so if anyone sees Merlin using it the king will lop his head off. I think that’s a pretty good conflict!

The actors were expressive and believable, and I love Anthony Head.

    Fabulous storytelling.

  5. Surprising how Ten can show repeats of Merlin but can’t even find a slot to show Smallville, which i’m sure still has a fairly big fan following.

  6. Well this is good news. I enjoyed the first episode. Similar tone to the Robin Hood series shown on the ABC.

Thank god it’s not Channel 9 showing this, or they’d be showing the episodes out of order and then canning it after a few weeks – I’m looking at you eleventh hour, fringe and flashpoint…
