One travel series featuring Australia wasn't enough for Charley Boorman, who is now filming a second from Sydney to Russia.

charleyboormanNot content with one series of By Any Means including stops in Oz, Charley Boorman is now filming a second travel series that takes him from Sydney to Russia via the Pacific Rim.

The first took him from his home town in Ireland to the Sydney Opera House.

One of the stops in the new series sees him visit Wingham, between Newcastle and Port Macquarie, where he could renewed friendships made with Aussie motorcyclists he met while filming series one.

“It’s a lovely, quiet little place,” Boorman said.

From Queensland he will take a boat to Papua New Guinea and then Indonesia before winging his way to Japan.

His trip began in Manly on Monday where a convoy of about 450 motorcyclists trailed him as he drove to the Central Coast.

  1. Oh okay , so do we know when the first season of By Any Means will be on FTA (most likely SBS)?

    BTW do they have a www to track their progress to see where they are?

  2. @Craig,
    The first series of By Any Means(which is available on dvd) is currently airing on one of the National Geographic channels on Foxtel, so it probably won’t be on sbs for a while, as for the 2nd, even longer wait I would suspect.
